Sweet Cooie’s in Denver is a great place for a treat. Denver couple, Michael and Oscar shared a strawberry milkshake, perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Oscar recommends the chocolate salted oreo (you can’t even tell it is vegan!).

I had to get some, too! My favorite is the Space Junkie–black raspberry ice cream with homemade brownie bites and marshmallow swirl.

Michael shares, “When I was a kid I would wonder if I would ever be happy, if I would ever find unconditional love, if I would ever find the church girl I was supposed to marry!

Now you may not be the church girl my “father” wanted me to be with BUT…
You have taught me to be loved and appreciated, to wake up in a positive mood, to be kind, that family isn’t always blood, but those who love and fight for you every day! I was lost without a clue before I met you.

All I can say is thank you and I am forever grateful to have found you!

Casey and Shakari were married on a beautiful, snowy New Year’s Eve at the Lakewood Country Club in Colorado. The club was decorated with festive holiday garlands for a special December celebration.

Casey shares, “My mother and I went into the bridal shop with one goal: SPARKLES. It’s the one time in my life I could wear a ball gown as big and sparkly as I wanted, and it did not disappoint.”

Casey and Shakari love New Year’s! They share, “It was NYE! Our colors were gold and silver, we had casino games, and we rang in the new year with our loved ones. Most of all, it’s the one night of the year where your wedding can be as over the top as you want it.

Our favorite moments from the day include our first dance, tasting the cake that I only got a quarter of a piece of (this is Shakari’s quote), the first look, and watching my (Casey’s) parents dance to Snoop Dogg. Almost every guest told my parents it was the best NYE of their lives.”

The couple shared their first dance to If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys.

It just so happened that I would be in California right before Cassie and John were flying across the country for their NYC wedding. The couple lives in Newport Beach with their sweet pup, Frankie. So we just had to plan an engagement session at the beach!

Cassie and John met in Laguna Beach. At the time, in April of 2021, Cassie was traveling around the West Coast. They started dating that June, and got along so well, that when Cassie was set return to New York, she changed her plans and stayed in California so they could be together. About a year after they met, in April of 2022, they got engaged.
