Julie and Matt were married on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The day began with preparations at the bride’s parent’s home.
Julie had a small blue ribbon wrapped around her bouquet for her something blue.
Julie and Matt were married at a special hidden location, the Center for Environmental Science Horn Point Laboratory. Julie worked there and was able to use the space for her wedding!
As Julie and Matt walked back down the aisle as husband and wife all the guests threw bird seed into the air!
After the ceremony we began taking portraits. We started off with the bride’s mom and dad.
The bridesmaids wore a beautiful shade of orange that was such a nice pop of color around the trees and water in the background.
The sky was a brilliant blue with big puffy white clouds… until about 5:00 p.m. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes blew through the VA/DC/MD area. But just before the storms came we were able to get some great shots! I love how the angle of this tree even looks like it is blowing over in the storm.
The reception was held in a brick pavilion. Everyone was worried the weather might cause problems in the open space, but everything worked out great. The storm actually cooled the air and made it more fun for dancing.
Julie and Matt danced their first dance to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
I love lanterns! It almost looks like confetti being thrown through the air.
Congratulations Julie & Matt!
