Donna and Daniel came from Canada to Central Park for a beautiful intimate ceremony in Shakespeare Garden.
Donna and Daniel met working at the Department of Industry in Ontario, Canada.
Donna shares their story, “We were colleagues for more than two years before we started dating. In fact, we sat across from each other most of that time. We always had that sparkle in our eyes when we talked at work, but neither of us made any attempt to ask the other out during that time. One day we just started flirting with each other about taking a trip to New York City, because Daniel had been there before but I hadn’t, and we even talked about all of the places we would go and things we would do there while visiting. I thought he was joking, so I continued to play along. After a couple of weeks, he invited me for ice cream, and all of a sudden, I knew it was a real date. I remember getting ready for that date in my condo, and feeling like a teenager again, as I was so excited. We had a fantastic date, and afterwards, we both knew how much we really liked each other, and we pretty much became joined at the hip from that point on.”
She continues, “While visiting Maine one weekend, standing on the beach in Ogunquit under the stars, Daniel asked me to be his wife. We were very excited about getting married. Because it was so late, there was only one small pub open where we could celebrate, so we went inside and shared a toast to our future. The next day we started spreading the news with family and friends.
We wanted an intimate and personal ceremony where we could say personal vows to each other. We chose New York City to be married, because it was our first trip we took together as a couple, and it was very romantic. And we fell in love with Shakespeare Garden in Central Park right away.”
