Michelle and Rob were married on a beautiful August day at Wave Hill in the Bronx, New York.
Michelle, your dress is STUNNING!
Michelle shares, “If I had to describe our wedding style in three words I would say it was rustic, elegant and romantic.
My favorite parts of the day were right before the first look and walking into the ceremony. Seeing Rob standing in the middle of the garden waiting for me to tap him on the shoulder was one of the most exhilarating moments I’ve ever felt. Similarly, walking down the aisle with rose petals along the sides and having my future husband waiting for me at the end of the aisle gave me a feeling that cannot be described. I felt so fortunate to have all of our friends and family, including our son Gabriel, join us on our special day.”
The gardens throughout Wave Hill are so colorful and bursting with blooms.
The different shades of pink and orange dresses look so bright and beautiful with the bouquets.
Wave Hill is gorgeous. This 28-acre public garden and cultural center is in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. The grounds feature amazing gardens, landscapes and magnificent views–such a perfect place for a wedding!
Michelle shares the story of how they stumbled upon Wave Hill, “Rob and I met eight years ago working in an after-school program. Part of his work duty for the past couple of years has been to organize school field trips for the students. As a result of his job, he has visited and seen many places in New York. One day he came across Wave Hill and said we should go visit it. At that time we were not thinking of a wedding, but we fell in love with the place. When he proposed a year later, we both agreed that Wave Hill would be an extraordinary place to get married. We visited it once again, and decided that no other place could match up.
Our goal in choosing Wave Hill was for people to truly enjoy and experience a beautiful, peaceful yet secluded New York City public place.
It almost felt as if we were taking all of our guests on an amazing wedding field trip. Wave Hill is truly a hidden gem!”
The ceremony space filled a wide-open lawn facing a stone structure covered in vines and blooms. A sweet little sign was posted for all their guests, “Welcome to our love story.”
Michelle and Rob’s son, Gabriel, was the cutest little ring bearer!
The newly renovated Wave Hill House is charming. The arched windows, vaulted ceilings and hanging chandeliers are so romantic!
Gabriel was the star of the dance floor!
Congratulations Michelle and Rob!
