Kenny asked Christina to marry him under the bright lights of Broadway. We returned to the whirlwind of Times Square to celebrate their engagement!

Christina shares, “Kenny and I are high school sweethearts. We met through mutual friends when we were sixteen years old in high school. We have been dating for a little over nine years and, come our wedding day, we will have been together just under ten years! Over the years, we have celebrated our anniversary by going into NYC and either seeing a new Broadway  attending the Vendy Awards on Governors Island, or simply trying out a new restaurant. Going into the city is a reminder of all the good times we’ve had together and how we have grown as a couple so it was perfect that Kenny asked me to marry him in Times Square.

It was a cold Valentine’s Day evening and Kenny and I had gone to see the Broadway musical “Aladdin.” Afterwards, we stopped at a Starbucks nearby to warm up. While there, Kenny was taking his time to get ready and bundle back up to walk to our hotel. Little did I know, he was stalling to make sure the timing of his plan would work out. On our walk back to the hotel, Kenny had drawn my attention to the other side of the street where I saw a bright red billboard with the words “Christina will you marry me?” In shock, I turned to Kenny who was then down on one knee asking me to marry him and of course I said “YES!”

Getting engaged in NYC just adds to all of the great memories we’ve had there, so choosing to take our engagement pictures there was a no brainer. We chose Times Square because that is where we got engaged and have spent a lot of time together when we visit. We also chose the Brooklyn Bridge because we have always loved that bridge and its beauty and we felt it was a perfect location to capture the love we have for one another.”
