Ken Caryl Vista by Wedgewood Wedding: Congratulations Monica and John!

Monica got ready for the day at her parents’ home in Highlands Ranch.

Monica shares, “John and I met our first year of college at the University of Chicago. We lived across the hall from each other and shared a friend group, but we didn’t start dating until our fourth year after sharing many coffees at our favorite coffee shop, Hallowed Grounds. It was so special to get our college friends back together again for our wedding!

After over six years of being together, John proposed at our favorite campsite at Fremont Peak State Park in California during sunset. It was so special and intimate for the both of us!”

Monica and John shared a first look at Deer Creek Canyon Park in Littleton, Colorado.

The couple had a few special, unique moments planned. Monica shares, “I was so excited to surprise John with a first look with our dog, Olive! Jess helped us pull it off, and I hope it helped ease some of John’s tension before the rest of our big day!”

Monica’s favorite moment of the day: “John wrote notes for me to find throughout the day while getting ready. It helped to ease my nerves and made me feel so loved!”

John’s favorite moment of the day: “My favorite moment was watching Monica walk down the aisle with her parents surrounded by our friends and family.”

The ceremony was held at Ken Caryl Vista and officiated by Monica’s brother-in-law, Jake.

During the ceremony the bride and groom shared a wine ceremony where they sealed a box to open on an anniversary.

Monica continues, “We felt so honored to have so many guests travel from across the country to celebrate with us, so we decided to write thank you notes for all our guests as their escort cards and party favors. It was so nice to reflect on why we love each of our guests in the weeks before our wedding!”
