Hannah and Davis’ wedding day began in Golden, Colorado, on a sunny and beautiful day.
I love this new floral trend of the pocket flower. Rather than a boutonniere, David had a gorgeous pop of flowers in his pocket.
Hannah shares, “We chose to get married in Colorado because it is where we met, where our story started. As soon as we looked into Red Rocks as a venue we knew it was perfect for our ceremony. It is a place that was already close to our hearts. Music has always been an integral part of our lives and our relationship and we’ve attended many concerts at Red Rocks. It was also important to us to pick a ceremony location with beautiful scenery and this view cannot be beat. We were grateful that Colorado was a place that our grandparents could travel to. They’re really important to both of us and to be able to share the day with them meant everything to us.”
Hannah continues, “The best part of the day was getting to finally see Davis at our ceremony. All I had to do was hold his hands and look into his eyes and everything else in the world just faded away. It was so special to have those minutes where we both were solely focused on each other.”
Davis had a hard time choosing a favorite from all the wonderful moments. He shares, “There were more than a few special moments from our big day. The moment Hannah came down the stairs and I saw her for the first time on our wedding day was too perfect. I’d never seen anything more beautiful in my life. Hannah loves to dance and couldn’t have been more excited to dance the night away. I was excited to dance but was surprised how much I enjoyed our first dance. We’d danced a hundred times before but I could really feel the magic.”
Hannah shares, “Davis is a drummer so he was very excited to get a band for our reception. We wanted to find a reception venue that would easily accommodate and showcase a band. The Rose was the perfect choice as it is also a concert venue. We loved having the live band for dancing and Davis even got to sit in and play a couple of songs with them!”
What a fun and unique idea! The bride and groom had a card at each table for their guests to sign and write a message. Table one wrote a card for them to open on their first anniversary, table two for their second anniversary and so on.
The couple shared their first dance to You are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne.
Congratulations Hannah and Davis!
