As a Colorado wedding photographer I have been able to visit and enjoy many Colorado wedding venues.
What makes a great wedding venue in Colorado? I think the scenery is so important to showing off all that Colorado has to offer, along with finding the right vibe for you, excellent service and the right fit and space.
Here are some of my favorite wedding venues in and around Denver:

Blackstone Rivers Ranch, Idaho Springs is known for its stunning outdoor setting, which includes a river, aspen groves, wooden bridge, as well as its elegant amenities like a styled bridal suite, reception tent, and market lights. The venue offers a private, flexible, and customizable experience for both large and small weddings. A large, high-ceiling tent is available for receptions, with a capacity for up to 150 seated guests. This is also a great venue if you have family members who need special accommodations or trouble walking, because the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception space is very close together.

The Manor House, Littleton is known for its historic charm, stunning scenery, and comprehensive, full-service approach to wedding planning. The property includes a large historic cottage for getting ready, a dramatic circular drive for grand entrances, and cozy indoor rooms with fireplaces for smaller gatherings.

Arrowhead Golf Club, Littleton is known for its stunning natural scenery, which includes iconic red rock formations and mountain backdrops, making it a picturesque setting for both ceremonies and receptions. The venue is praised for its excellent service, delicious food, and flexible spaces, including options for indoor and outdoor events.

Grant Humphrey’s Mansion, Denver is known for its historic charm, elegant Beaux-Arts architecture, and versatile indoor and outdoor spaces that accommodate a wide range of wedding styles. It offers a timeless and romantic setting, convenient downtown Denver location, and a unique blend of vintage character with modern amenities, making it a popular and cost-effective choice. You can host your ceremony on the lawn with the mansion as your backdrop, or have an indoor ceremony in case of bad weather. There is also a very pretty bridal suite for getting ready.

Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver is known for it’s stunning gardens. With 12 different locations, you can find a space that fits your specific vision and guest count. The gardens offer a variety of indoor and outdoor sites, suitable for both ceremonies and receptions, regardless of weather. Options range from intimate elopements to large events for up to 1,200 guests.
Pro: Gorgeous flowers and scenic backgrounds are everywhere, making you feel like you’ve gone to Italy, Japan and Costa Rica within minutes.
Capacity: Many options, but the most popular is the Annuals Garden and Pavilion, which can accommodate a ceremony and reception for 120–150 guests for a seated reception.

Cherokee Ranch and Castle, Sedalia is known for its unique and historic setting, which includes a Scottish-style castle, expansive natural grounds, and spectacular mountain views. The venue offers a variety of options for both large and intimate weddings, with the unique feature of having docents available for tours of the historic home’s art and antiques for your guests. It is an ideal choice for couples looking for a venue that provides a fairytale or dramatic backdrop for their wedding, combined with a memorable guest experience.You can have both the ceremony and reception at the castle, with the option of using the Veranda Tent for larger outdoor receptions.
