Palmer waited anxiously for Lauren, his bride-to-be, to arrive at Central Park East. They eloped from Las Vegas on January 1, 2013.

It was a brisk January day and we hurried over to Wagner Cove. Along the walk, Palmer couldn’t take his eyes off Lauren.

They met in November of 2011 through OkCupid and shared their first date at a cafe at the University of Las Vegas. Palmer works in patent law and just started a new job in Kansas, and Lauren is studying interdisciplinary studies in hotel management and human services at UNLV. She is seven classes away from graduating and anxiously awaiting the day so she can be in Kansas with her new husband permanently.

They decided to take a trip to NYC to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. As they began to plan a magical trip, some friends recommended it should be their honeymoon. Palmer soon suggested it be more than a honeymoon, and that they should actually get married in Central Park. Lauren tells me, “It really made the most sense. We were going on this fairytale vacation and we did not know when we would have the money or the time to travel again. Also, we have so many dear family members and friends and we were unsure when we would ever be able to afford a grand wedding where everyone could attend. We agreed, either we wait for years when we can afford a big wedding, or we get married and it is just the two of us.”

Palmer soon proposed and they had three weeks to plan. With the help of A Central Park Wedding everything came together beautifully!

Lauren continues, “It was the best day of our lives and the best start to the new year!”

The evening ended with a stop at Grand Central and Palmer and Lauren headed to dinner at Lure in SoHo.

Congratulations Lauren and Palmer!

Special thanks to the team!

  1. Lauren (the bride) says:

OMG! Jess!! Just saw this, finally! Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful! We’re doing wonderful, and very happy, living in Kansas!!! I was able to move permanently in May — fixed it with my school and I graduate in December! Still can’t stop reflecting on that AMAZING day in NYC and looking at our lovely pictures you took, over and over. Thank you soo much! You and Christa, and James made our day the BEST ever! It’s still in our minds as such a “fairytale wedding.” Ours. Thank you! We’re looking forward to celebrating our ONE year anniversary in Disneyland, CA for a few days. Can’t believe we’re already coming up on a YEAR, with FOREVER to go. :o) Love.
