Austin is one very, very special baby. He is my nephew! I visited Mike and Kristen, my brother and sister-in-law, in North Carolina to meet him for the first time, give him lots of hugs and, of course, take tons of photos. Here he is at about three weeks old.
Kristen shares, “Austin Robert Schmitt was born on August 25, 2015 at 6:39 pm weighing 7lbs 13 oz. He was ten days overdue because he secretly wanted to be a Virgo like his mommy. He loves to listen to people sing and the best thing is when he stares in the mirror at himself (even he knows how adorable he is!).
He went from a “wild one” to a sleeping angel in one minute flat.
Kristen continues, “He loves his jungle-themed nursery and Bongo the monkey especially. We have story time a lot and his library of books keeps building. He does have an extensive wardrobe, however, he was a little too tiny for most of it so he has some growing to do before he can be our GQ baby. We are just so blessed. Austin is absolutely perfect and he brings joy to our life every single day. We cannot imagine our life without him.”
Mike adds, “He’s also probably into heavy metal music because he head bangs all the time!”
I don’t know, Mike, that could be punk rock. Being the awesome aunt that I am, I’ll send him a little lullaby music.
BIG congrats to Mike and Kristen and their sweet, adorable, wonderful baby. (He must share a lot of my genes! …wink, wink.)
