Jeannine loves photography. She told me she loves taking photos and having photographs taken to enjoy and share and celebrate all the special moments in her life. She just can’t get enough, which made me very excited to be their photographer and travel all around the city with them for a three-hour session.
They chose Central Park for their first location because it is a great backdrop for capturing New York City and, secondly, DUMBO in Brooklyn because the BK is their home and it has amazing views of Manhattan. We started off in Central Park on a beautiful and unseasonably warm November day.

Jeannine and Maurice met in Las Vegas in August 2006. She shares, “We were both there celebrating birthdays; Maurice was celebrating his 25th birthday and I was there celebrating my best friend’s 26th birthday. We met at IHOP at nearly 5am and became instant friends! Maurice and I remained “just friends” for several months before we began dating – it just kinda happened!”
Jeannine continues, “Maurice proposed to me in our suite in the Bellagio in Las Vegas on Friday, April 30th, 2012. We were there celebrating a close friend’s brother’s bachelor party and Maurice secretly arranged for both sets of our parents to be in Las Vegas as well. We were getting ready to meet our friends for a night out and as we were taking some pre-party pictures, Maurice got down on one knee and proposed!”

Now it was time to head to Brooklyn and change into something more dramatic!
Jeannine and Maurice love to travel, “We have been to over 15 countries together, spanning Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. We are looking forward to our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Maurice and I also love to watch the New York Red Bulls play soccer (and really any soccer team!) as well as dance all night long! We have a new addition to our family (our cat Willow) and we enjoy spending time with her at home.”
They will be getting married in September of 2013 in Oakland, California, at the Claremont Country Club. Happy Engagement Jeannine & Maurice!
