Anne and Ross had a beautiful wedding at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.
How GORGEOUS is Anne’s dress? I just love the vintage style and lace detail!
Anne, you are stunning!
Ross had custom cufflinks made to look just like their dog, Bridgett. So cool!
Anne and Ross had a beautiful and unique wedding style all their own. It was elegant, but whimsical, colorful and tasteful and full of amazing little details.
Ross shares, “Most of the wedding style came from Anne’s mind. She had an overall vision from the get-go and between her and Janice of Bellwether Events and Lauren of the Ritz-Carlton, we were able to achieve it. We really wanted something that looked summery and clean, with some individual touches of us to make everyone smile. We loved the look of the Ritz and how it is very upscale but still has an industrial look, and we wanted to use that to complement our style. Thus we had the strings of lights to add a little something extra fun, the silver card holder animals to reflect us, and the mercury glass table numbers and vases/mason jars to complement the industrial look of the room.”
When it came to choosing a venue, the Ritz was the perfect fit! It’s a favorite location, a pet-friendly hotel and a gorgeous site. Ross continues, “We love Georgetown, and the Ritz, while in Georgetown, is tucked away just enough so that you aren’t bombarded with the busyness of M Street. We both fell in love with the look of the hotel and especially the Fahrenheit Ballroom. It has a very upscale and clean look, with an amazing industrial feel. We also needed a place that allowed dogs as Bridgett was going to be staying with us and be in the wedding. Finally, we wanted a place where we could do everything on site (rooms, ceremony, cocktail hours, and reception).”
As you can see from a lot of the details, the cufflinks, cake topper, and card piñata, their dog is very important to them. Ross shares his favorite moment from the day that, of course, includes their four-legged family member, “My favorite moment from the day was watching Anne and Bridgett walk down the aisle. Bridgett is our little girl and Bridgett does what Bridgett wants, so we were very nervous about how she would perform. She was AMAZING, and knowing how important it was for Anne to walk with Bridgett was so special.”
MARRIED!
We had a little rain, but that’s okay! The Ritz-Carlton is so beautiful we found lots of great spots for photos.
These escort cards were so cool! Everyone had their own little silver animal to take them to their seat.
Everyone had so much fun on the dance floor, especially when the DJ played a mix of great old school hip hop! Ross seemed to know every word to Scenario by A Tribe Called Quest and acted out some of the lyrics on the dance floor!
Ross continues, “We loved everything about our wedding! Everything we made and planned looked great and happened! The ombre poms on the aisles, the string quartet playing pop music at the cocktail hour, the arbor, the string lights, the linens we chose, the flowers, the DJ killing it, our clothes, the candy bar, the mercury glass table numbers, the Bridgett Piñata, the vegan cake and cookies, and the silver animal escort card holders all came out as planned and were unforgettable!”
Congratulations Anne and Ross!
