Natalie and William were married on a beautiful November day at Lionscrest Manor in Colorado.

Natalie and William shared a first look before the ceremony.

Their adorable son, Theo, looked so sweet and handsome in his bowtie.

The outdoor ceremony overlooked the mountains and was visited by a mule deer just before the ceremony began.

Natalie shares, “Will and I had always envisioned a very casual wedding day, so the details weren’t important to us, but our day ended up being perfectly wonderful in every way!

We both agree our favorite moment of the day was the ceremony. The weather was unseasonably beautiful–75 and sunny in November–and the details of the ceremony fit our personalities perfectly. We had all of our lovely family and friends there, including our pups, and the sentiment was exactly what we hoped it would be–fun, casual and full of love and joy.”

Congratulations Natalie and William!

I wasn’t sure I’d win this year. I’ve been so honored to win for many years, but this year–with my big move from NYC to Denver and starting my business in a new city, along with being pregnant and having my son in June–it has been a whirlwind!

Thank you so much to all the amazingly wonderful couples who wrote me such nice reviews this year and to all my new couples in Colorado for welcoming me.

This year I photographed my 200TH WEDDING! And I celebrated the 10th anniversary of starting my business. Very exciting!

I want to say a huge thank you to my husband, Eric, who has been so supportive and has helped me grow my business. I couldn’t do it without him!

Thank you also, so much, to all my instagram, facebook and blog fans! I’m so happy when I see family, friends, past couples, or past wedding guests I’ve met like or comment on my photos. It is so nice to keep sharing with you and to see that you are enjoying my photos.

THANK YOU!

I love my job so much and feel so lucky every day.

Terri and Alex had a magical, fairy tale, book-inspired wedding in Montauk, NY. The day included a first look at a lighthouse, a ceremony surrounded by brightly colored wildflowers, a walk on the beach with their dog, and a reception filled with books, library lights and typewriters, and lots and lots of love.

The couple shared their first look at the Montauk Lighthouse.

The couple included a quaich, an ancient Scottish tradition, in their ceremony. The quaich is a two-handled cup that seals the bond of two people and celebrates the blending of two families. The tradition symbolizes love and trust as the couple shares the first drink of their marriage together.

After the ceremony, we went to Navy Beach with their pup to get some photos with a very important family member, Cosmo.

Terri shares, “We met on Tinder while living in Syracuse, NY, a day or two after Alex’s 24th birthday. My roommate was actually helping me swipe and we think she was the one who matched with Alex. Our first date was at Green Lakes State Park where we walked and talked for about two hours without a moment of silence. It was perfection from the beginning.

Alex proposed on our 3-year first date anniversary, but only after a bet was made during our quarterly performance review about whether he had an engagement ring. That evening he posted a series of post-it notes along the hallway and staircase leading to the roof. When Terri unscrambled the post-it’s, they spelled out “Pay up and marry me.” So she gave him $150 bucks and he gave her the engagement ring.”

Terri continues, “Our wedding was a genuine fairy tale. The goal was to make it a book-themed, whimsical story come to life and Coordinated to Perfection helped us do it. We loved everything about the entire weekend. Ruschmeyer’s is owned by our family and when we went to Montauk for the first time, we felt this peacefulness and magic. We knew we had to get married there.

Magic was pervasive throughout the entire weekend, but we had a few really amazing moments; the first look was breathtaking – seeing each other for the first time, facing the Atlantic Ocean, there was no moment that could be more surreal. The speeches given throughout the entire weekend helped reaffirm the love we have in our lives from all of our family and friends and served to remind us why we were there in the first place – to marry each other and join all our loved ones together. And finally, we finished the night of our wedding at the oceanfront at Montauk Blue with our closest friends and family and dove into the Atlantic Ocean in full wedding attire. Nothing screams fairy tale quite like that.”

Simone Vega of Coordinated to Perfection helped the couple create an enchanting design. Look closely at the centerpieces–each one was unique and included everything from antique-style bookends to library card holders bursting with flowers.

The couple shared their first dance to If I Aint Got You by Alicia Keys.

The wedding cake was an incredible design by Pure Sugar Inc that showcased a golden snitch and a re-creation of the bride’s grandmother’s jewelry box.

Congratulations Terri and Alex!

Natalie and William had one request for their engagement photos: aspens! And I’m so glad they did! The Colorado aspens are stunning. It looks like yellow confetti was thrown all over the forest to celebrate this engagement and it was so much fun to photograph.

We met at Maxwell Falls in Evergreen in early October to capture the golden leaves.

Natalie shares, “Will and I met in Chicago five years ago, after being introduced on a dating website! Our first date almost didn’t happen–it was a Friday after work and Will had failed to reach out to confirm we were still on to meet up until 4:30 pm. After the long week, I almost blew him off, but thankfully my roommate convinced me to go. We met at a cocktail bar called Barrelhouse Flat, then hopped over to Delilah’s, a whiskey dive bar to play a few games of pool, and I was hooked!

From there, we enjoyed a lot of firsts together in Chicago: Cuban food on a patio, Zoo Lights, trips to the Field Museum, and lots of late night pizzas at Ranalli’s. My roommate decided to move back to Kansas, and it was the perfect opportunity for Will and I to test our relationship and move in together with our dog, Berkeley. Thankfully, all worked out and we decided to move across country to Denver just a year later!

For our third anniversary, I was whisked away on a surprise trip to San Francisco/Sonoma–my favorite vacation spot. Will had coordinated with my boss and co-workers for me to take a week-long vacation, at the start of which he proposed. The proposal didn’t go exactly as planned. Will had been working with my cousin, Kirstin, to drive me to the top of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County to pop the question, but just an hour before we were set to drive up he discovered that the road was closed to the top due to wind. So, change of plans! We drove part way up the mountain, then took (what felt like) a 30-minute hike to a scenic spot, where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. My cousin was hiding in a tree and got the whole proposal on camera.

It was genuinely a wonderful moment and something I will never forget. Such a well-thought-out plan in one of my favorite places on Earth. After the proposal, we got to enjoy the rest of the week exploring San Francisco and drinking wine in Sonoma–not too shabby at all!

So here we are, two years later, just about to celebrate our five-year anniversary together and FINALLY getting married! I’m not much of an event planner myself, so the wedding kept getting put off because I just didn’t know where to start with the planning process. Will’s mom and sister finally got fed up with all of my procrastinating, and offered to plan the wedding for us if we agreed to show up (which was a total win for me). The big day is November 9th, and we just can’t wait to be married!”

They will be getting married this November in Lyons, Colorado. Happy engagement Natalie and William!

Nicole and Nic were married at The Lobby in Denver. Preparations for the wedding day began at the Maven Hotel.

Nicole shares, “Looking back on the wedding, I was over the moon with the entire experience. The weather was perfect and we caught some light right before the sunset. Our nieces and nephews walking down the aisle were adorable from what I could see! I wasn’t really nervous to walk down the aisle — just so excited to finally see Nic. And he looked so handsome in his suit. The ceremony was beautiful. Father Messina did an amazing job. It meant a lot to to be able to stand up in front of everyone and say those vows to each other. Nic was more nervous than me to be the center of attention – if it had been up to him we would have eloped in Vegas in the Circus Circus Chapel. But he went through the stress of the event for me, and I’m so grateful.

The best part about the wedding was having all of our family and friends together to celebrate. Nic’s family is from Colorado and Oregon, and mine is from New York, so this may be the only time we’ll ever have everyone in one place. It was so much fun to talk to everyone and see all of our guests having a good time. The music, flowers, food (and photography!) were all awesome and really exceeded my expectations.

It was a really joyful occasion. We are very blessed with family and friends who love us and gave us the opportunity to have this beautiful wedding to celebrate our life together.”

Congratulations Nicole and Nic!
