I love animals! If I could have a polar bear as a pet, and it wouldn’t eat my face off, I totally would.
Eric and I go to the Central Park Zoo at least once a year to visit the polar bear and all the animals. It is wonderful!
I’m not an animal photographer. I am not nearly patient enough or skilled in that genre.
BUT… When I look through my view finder and see a polar bear climbing out of a pool of water, I like to pretend I work for National Geographic. Photographing animals at the zoo is so much fun–I just get lost in the experience of being so close to such magnificent creatures. Here’s me pretending I’m about to go on assignment in some wild remote location (even if it is just right off East 63rd Street).
I love to share my photos and my experiences. I hope you enjoy checking out my trip to the zoo. First stop, the snow leopard.
BIG YAWN!
The snow monkeys are so fun to watch. They jump around and play all day.
Next stop, the rainforest room.
I stop by to see the polar bear a few times throughout the day. Eric has to pull me away because I could stay and watch him all day long.
Looking at these photos makes me want to go right back. I love the zoo!
